rather than cook it in water , cook it in vegetable or soup stock. (I don't eat pork but when I cook chicken I cook my rice in chicken stock and when I cook beef I will cook my rice in beef stock.)
This will give it more flavor right off the bat. You can always add minced garlic and or onion, fresh or dried herbs (parsley, rosemary, oregano, basil)
if you want to mix your rice with your veggie, roast your veggies in the oven or on the grill with some herbs and then mix them in your rice.
Also a rice , cheese and broccolli casserole is always a winner in my house

It is a good idea to brown the rice slightly in the bottom of the pan and the cook it in Chicken Broth. Both the browing of the rice and the Chicken Broth add great flavor to the rice, and it goes with just about any type of meal. You can add cooked veggies to the rice such as peas or carrots after cooking for extra flavor and color, however, it is great by itself!
Hope this helps!

Rosemary. just a pinch (dried, whole leaf, or fresh is even better if you have it) added at about half time (i add some olive or grapeseed oil too) will go perfect with your pork dish. Not too over powering yet far from boring. also, a great trick with rice is fresh ginger root sliced thin and done the same. Just play around with things, rice is fun, it will take on any flavor you want. Luck.

I like to use canned chicken broth instead of water when making rice. Then salt and pepper to taste & serve with any kind of meat. It would be great with pork, chicken, or about anything else since the rice doesn't "reek" of chicken broth when made this way. Enjoy!

line your rice cooker w/ a single layer of banana leaf or pandan leaves before putting in the rice & water. you can also use chicken broth to make the rice more flavorful. after putting the rice in the serving plate sprinkle green onions.

soy sauce mixed in is nice, maybe add some chicken or beef stock with it while it is cooking, mabye mix in some veggies with it like snow peas or peas, beans, broccolia, stuff like that.
I know a nice filling desert with white rice,
cook the rice in milk in a hot saucepan, add a tbls of sugar and stir till it becomes sticky, through in some sultans and then top with more sugar, - makes a nice desert.

Saffron makes rice AMAZING, and even tho it's labeled as a high priced spice, you can buy it in powder for a lot cheaper, especially on ebay. BELIEVE ME, it's worth it, saffron is the absolute BEST way to flavor up rice. You'll be thankful I mentioned it. ;-)
