im not sure if this is really on topic but i did know where else to put it...my grandmother is 60 years old...and my mom is 40...every once and a while when i get mad at my grandma she goes to hit me...ive let it slide a few times and my mom knows about it she just says ...dont agravate her...so the other day it happened again...when she sung at me i grabbed her arm and told her never to try it again....she struggled but i had a firm grip...what should i do if it happens again?

I say keep doing what you are doing. No one has the right to hit. There are other forms of punishment for bad behavior.

You should talk to you mom and let her know that you will not be allowing your grandma to hit you anymore, and that you're willing to accept other things for punishment.

My dad hit me a few times when I was in my teens, until one day I just stood up and told him "you're not going to hit me anymore". And he didn't ever again.

I don't think it will happen again. But if it does then do the same thing.Remember this...She is old and came from a whole different generation. Her generation beleived in spanking, and children are suppose to do what there told and not talk back. So I'm sure she loves u and there is this big generation gap.So keep on being the smarter one and you'll do fine.Good luck

Listen talk to your grandma, tell her that if she wants you to respect her than she must do the same.
Grand-mom are great and have lots of wisdom, but that does not mean she has to hit you or anyone else. Talk also to your mom and ask her to help you with this issue.
Good luck.

You need to report this to someone who can do something about
it. Be it a counselor at school or someone at Social Services. This should not be happening and I am appaled at your mom for allowing it to happen! Where is your father? If he is not in the home, is there any way that you can go and live with him?

You need to talk to your Mother about this and have her deal with her mother.

When things are pretty calm you can also tell your grandmother that you will not allow her to touch you ever again and if she does you will charge her with assault/battery......then do it.

Sad very sad. Just tell her again to stop it (don't seek revenge) if it doesn't work use an excuse like: I technically like your child, would you abuse your own grandchild?

Warn her once. if she does it again tell her that you will not come over to see her for awhile. Tell her that you love her but she is hurting your feelings and your body (if it does hurt your body)
