So today, my family adopted a puppy, (2 weeks earlier than expected. I believe I posted a question about waiting 3 weeks. But we decided we were ready, so we went shelter hopping today.) a Catahoula Leopard Dog/ Golden Retriever mix, and this puppy was really attached to her toy in the kennel. Does anyone know if they SPCA allows the puppy to keep their toys? Or does anyone know where they get their toys?

I would love for her to come home to find her favorite toy right there in her new home. Thanks in advance!

Oh, also. If they don't allow her too keep it, does anyone know where I can find one?

Its a stuffed dog, with a long body, that looks like it has slinky in the middle. Sorry for the strange description.

It is not a Bobo dog, but maybe she will think it is similar. I looked all over petsmart dog and couldn't find the toy.

Maybe I will trade some toys, or atleast ask them where they got the toy.

Oh! Also I remember a tag on it something Plush. Plush Pup? Puppylplush?

Hi hon,
The toy you're talking about is made by the brand Plush Puppies, and Petsmart does at least carry this brand of toys. (I work there!) I realize you're not talking about the bobo toy in the Petsmart commercial, and I think do know what you are talking about, it's something like this:
http://www.petsmart.com/global/product_detail.jsp?PRODUCT%3C%3Eprd_id=845524441779841&FOLDER%3C%3Efolder_id=2534374302026213&ASSORTMENT%3C%3East_id=2534374302023689&bmUID=1163133141398&itemNo=3&In=Dog&N=2026207+4294966439&Ne=428
only the one you describe is a dog. In my store in Virginia they make them as little people/clowns. Anyway, a petsmart near you should have something comparable, and that's what I'd suggest - with a toy like that your pup is going to have to deal with it getting replaced sooner or later! Good luck =)

You can always ask. Maybe offer to donate a new toy in replacement.
Also, take care of your new puppy, because if she has the personality of the Catahoula breed, they are skittish & shy around strangers, great dogs though.

Ask the SPCA if you can swap out the toy for another one or a few. That would be a great gift not only to your puppy but to the puppies who haven't been adopted.

Good for you adopting from the SPCA!

I would find a similar toy to the one she has and offer to the ASPCA a trade for it in exchange for her favourite one.

And congrats on your new family member and on saving a life! : D
