If you eat enough of anything it will make you fat...doesn't matter whether it is 3000 (or whatever amount of) calories of apples or venison. But as a source of protein, any game meat including venison, is a high quality option. So if you like the taste...go for it...just don't overdue. Moderation in all things is the way to go.

Anything can make a person fat if they eat too much of it. Although fried makes anything make one fat faster. I believe deer meat is less fatening than beef, but still more so than chicken. But everyone should keep in mind a simple rule when it comes to weight loss or weight gain. Calories in vs. calories out. Exercise is key to staying healthy. If you eat more than usual today walk, run or do some form of exercise in addition to your normal routine tomorrow. It's actually quite simple. Forget all the crazy diets and just eat smart.

deer meat is very lean, so lean that we have to add pork or beef tallo to it to make sausage or burgers. frying anything can be fattening. The deer meat its self wont make you fat, preparing it with fat or grease can contribute to obesity.
