very simple but good. Take 2 pieces of white thick bread. In a small bowl, whisk up about 1/2 -3/4 cup of milk, add 1-2 eggs(depending on how you like the 'eggy' texture) and a splash of vanilla. Heat up a frying pan and put enough oil into cover the bottom. Take the bread, soak each side in the milk mixture for a few seconds, then place in frying pan, on medium high until one side is golden brown. Turn over and do the same for other side. Enjoy with whipped cream/syrup/berry sauces. :)

French Toast
Soaking the bread in the egg-milk mixture produces exceptionally moist, tender French toast.
1 day-old baguette, cut diagonally into slices
3/4 inch thick
6 eggs, lightly beaten
2 cups half-and-half
1 Tbs. vanilla extract
1/2 tsp. ground cinnamon
1/4 tsp. freshly grated nutmeg
2 Tbs. firmly packed light brown sugar
Unsalted butter for cooking
Confectioners’ sugar for dusting
Blackberries or other berries for garnishing
(optional)
Maple syrup for serving
In a shallow baking dish, arrange the bread slices in a single layer. In a bowl, combine the eggs, half-and-half, vanilla, cinnamon, nutmeg and brown sugar and whisk until blended. Pour the mixture over the bread and let stand for 1 to 2 minutes so the bread can absorb the liquid. Turn the slices over and let the bread absorb the remaining liquid, 1 to 2 minutes more.
Preheat a griddle according to the manufacturer’s instructions and coat generously with butter. When the griddle is hot, cook the bread in batches (do not overcrowd) until golden and crisp, 3 to 4 minutes per side.
Transfer the French toast to a warmed platter, dust with confectioners’ sugar and garnish with berries. Serve immediately with maple syrup alongside. Serves 4.

(How come you have 2 different avatars?) Answer: Dredge some good French, Italian, Rye-whatever kind you like-bread in good eggs-such as Eggland's Best-mixed with Salvadorena cream or Mexicana cream-or extra rich milk, and a scoop of your favorite ice cream-season the eggs w/ kosher salt and fresh ground white pepper; fry in fresh unsalted butter, until golden brown...chunk of butter in middle, try w/ pecans, or bananas, or both...splurge on some real maple syrup, or use Smucker's fruit syrups, and canned peaches...for example...top all w/ powdered sugar, dollop of whipped cream, a small strawberry or cherry.
