My Hitachi tv has C46TN permanently on the screen. Does anyone know how to remove it using the remote?

It can be switched off as Ive done it before but I cant remember how I did it.

Procedure to remove code “C46TN” from screen

Tv is in factory set up mode, using remote, press two vcr rec buttons together, the menu will appear, then switch to standby, turn appliance back on and prompt should have disappeared

It's the anti theft postcode, it should tell you in the handbook, unless you stole it!!

Please talk to your cable Guy as these people have all the methods for removing the same....
