Sounds like a rip off to me. Where are you located ? I live in Los Angeles and we can get Habaneros like 2 lbs for $5 bucks maybe less in some local markets I go to.

Why do you need a full pound of them? Because if you even purchase a pound of Jalapeno's, it can get pricey. Just buy what you need...hopefully it is not a pound...because I do now know what calls for a pound of Habenero's...unless you are making hot sauce from scratch...then I can see that.
