Don't trust anyone that you don't know very well. Like a couple of people have said bring a cell phone. Call AAA. Don't travel alone. Be extremely carful there is a lot of freaks out there.

Well i am 'down south' unlikely that we have bad weather like u do up in the north. Different matter if yr car breaks down, make sure its roadworthy before u depart and get AA or RAC cover!

Lot of bad ones out there. Preventative measures order and full of gas. Know your route and didtances so if you have to stop over night make sure you arrice at a hotel or motel.. Make sure the car is in good working

the RAC or AA? just take sensible precautions. carry a jack and make sure the spare is good, extra petrol, a blanket and credit on your phone with all the numbers you might need. Otherwise where does this end? Perhaps I should not get out of bed in case I slip and break my neck?
