No, it's just a distorted perception Christians have.

It's "Christmas", and "against" (just for future reference), and to answer your question, of course not. The ACLU exist to protect the Civil Liberties of ALL Americans. They have supported the Constitutional right to free speechof both the Westboro Baptist Church and by the American Nazi Party. The ACLU is leading a war against the infringement of Civil Liberties as defined in the Constitution of the United States of America.

Just to clarify, "Christmas" is not a church-sanctioned or even church invented holiday. It's a holiday early Christians invented and celebrated at Saturnalia so the Romans would beat them up. Jesus was probably born in October. And He would almost certainly support the mission of the ACLU. God didn't give you "free will" so it could be taken away by government!

Chiristmas?

The ACLU is simply trying to get religion out of the government and from institutions that are supported by government.

This is what the founding fathers wanted - a SEPERATION OF CHURCH AND STATE.

I'm sure you hate it, too, when the ACLU represents a Klu Klux Klan member to uphold their right to Free Speech, too.. huh?

I'm just surprised we haven't gotten IN GOD WE TRUST off of our money yet.

A question from someone who obviously knows nothing about the ACLU.

The ACLU initiates no cases, they only take ones that have a valid complaint of the government going against the peoples civil rights.

You cant spell AGAINST or CHRISTMAS correctly, you used "an" incorrectly, and you think the ACLU is leading a war against the church? Your ignorance shows badly.

they are fighting RELIGION, not a church. They are fighting to protect ALL people EQUALLY - something you Christians have no sense of - equality. Dweeb.

NO! Why do people even have a problem with the ACLU??? The ACLU protects the constitution and upholds it. What's wrong with that? No matter what color your skin, no matter what your beliefs the ACLU will fight for you if your constitutional rights are being neglected. (Most people that have a problem with the ACLU are those that don't get descriminated against, so they are just ignorant) For example, the ACLU has protected the rights of the KKK to peacefully assemble. They should be commended for their work.

No, they're merely keeping a check on that small but vocal minority of Christians who want their religious beliefs integrated into the laws and everyday lives of every single living soul on the planet. As for Christmas, those same Christians seem to have forgotten (or just don't care) that theirs is not the only holiday that falls near the end of the year.

Of course not. What about christmas? Was it outlawed when I wasn't looking?

The ACLU is merely protecting the rest of us from the overbearing christians in the US who are not satisfied with practicing their religion; they have to practice it on others.
