I was just curious if front side air bags could cause a serious injury. Seeing how they eject at fast speeds coming at the side of your head, it just doesn't seem logical how it doesn't. anyone know?

Their more safe than dangerous. Would you rather hit your head on a bag of air or a glass window??? Just don't lean your head against a window, drive safe, go the speed limit, and you'll be perfectly fine.

Yes. The are ALL dangerous. Think of a 20 gauge shotgun blast coming at you from all sides. Many burst eardrums, black eyes and bloody noses as a result of idiots that refuse to wear seatbelts and our beloved government cramming airbags into our cars to save us from ourselves. The plain truth (and the data is there to back it up) is that a good seatbelt system is more effective than the most sophisticated airbag available.

I don't know about you but I would rather have something filled with air coming at my head separating me from the shards of glass and metal that I also wouldn't like slamming me in my head at high speeds.

To each his own I guess...

The new air bags, front and side, are much more safer than previous models, and the side bags do not have the velocity the front ones have. Therefore, they are safer.

Air bags do sometimes cause injury but the point is, without them you probably would have been more seriously injured or killed.
