You probably have an infection of the throat. That can explain the earache as the infection can spread to your ear through the eustachian tube. Do you have any fever?
I suggest you go to the doctor again and explain all your symptoms in detail.
Another rare but possible thing that might happened is something stuck in your throat and got infected.

Go back to the Doctor and let her know it is still bothering you. Doctors get pretty busy and sometimes don't think of everything the first time around.
Remeber the Doctor is working for you and you are paying for a service. Too many people are afraid to question their doctors but it is your body and you know better about how you are feeling than anyone else.
If she still does nothing get a second opinion

I had this problem once and like you the doctor told me it was nothing, I finally went to the emergency room and they said I had strep and gave me antibiotics and within a few days I felt much better. I would suggest going to another doctor. I also think sinus drainage causes this problem. and sometimes acid reflux so try taking an antacid.

I have been dealing lately with something like you describe. I hit on the idea, finally, after almost four months, that it might be an allergy. I bought some 24 hour antihistamine caps and have been free of the irritation since. best of luck with it. my thoughts are with you. I do know something of how you feel

gargle warm salt water and get some throat coat tea its awesome.
It sounds like you might have alot of mucus in your throat or it could be the beginings of strep.
either that or you have a tumor in the back of your throat that is getting bigger

I have no idea what it is. I think you need a new doctor. Something is obviously wrong.
