I think you have answered your own question by posting this hear, but I understand and respect you seeking out other opinions. To me, making time for someone is just part of being in a relationship. I understand some people are busy and can't make phone calls at work on a regular basis, but to me, it just means you should try that much harder.
To get a quick call in the middle of the day from someone you know is absolutely swamped at work would go a long way, just a 30 sec. " I was thinking about you and wanting to say hello"
I think you should reevaluate this relationship and move on. He obviously doesn't have the time for a relationship or for you. it's not fair to you.
Good luck!

Does he work different shifts? Does he want to run up long distance phone bills on personal calls corporate auditors will see? Does he communicate via other methods like IM for hours at a time? Are you spending your time with others on the phone and he figures "whats the point?" Does he communicate with you after working all day, till 1am and having to get up at 5:30?

maybe he's not a phone person? But i would hate that answer cuz it seems like such a lame excuse. I would say even if he doesn't like talking on the phone that much he should care enough about how you feel to call you. Have you told him *calmly w/out nagging* how you feel?
I would say pray about it...might sound lame but nothing is going to change a man but the Lord. I really believe if we take even simple things like this before the Lord He will answer and bless and we will be amazed.

Yes, I agree, when you like or care for someone, you want to be in touch with them.
You want to be near them, talk to them, perhaps not ten times a day, but a five minute call, isn't going overboard, just to say "Hi, how are you, I was thinking of you".
so dump him, it's no great loss to you, is it, you really don't have him now.

In general men are not very fond of calling. They don't enjoy talking too much. Talking on the phone is more a girl thing

Guys are not like girls who can hang on the phone for hours and talk to someone... They only call if they have something worth calling about.... Tell him your going to stop calling him since he doesn't make the effort and that if he wants to talk to his gf to give you a call..

That's because he's not a clingy, annoying little girl. In case you haven't noticed, boys are different than girls. You are analizing the situation and getting worked up for nothing. I think you're probably a very irritating girlfriend who won't give the guy any space. He'd give you more attention if you would stop smothering him. Clingy girlfriend tend to repel their boyfriends... Why do chicks do this?

well honestly that may be what it sounds like but i wouldnt jump to conclusions....i know how you feel because my boyfriend never calls me either but i asked him about it and found out that he actually has a phobia of phones which i understand because i used to have it too...if i were you though i would pull him aside one day and just lay it out to him exactly how this is making you feel...maybe he just doesn't know how important it is to you...and then if his answer doesn't satisfy you then maybe it is simply time to move on.
I wish you luck!

Well, if he is not calling you at all, then i would call him one day and ask, "Why aren't you calling me anymore." I think that you are important in his life. Don't say that about yourself. But like i said before call him and see what is going on.
