My son has this too. He was put into braces and it did help close the gap some. Over the last 9 years after braces he has a small gap as the teeth shifted over time and as he got older and more teeth the gap closed alot.

Destists and Orthodontists tell us we should not have a gap if your teeth are aligned properly. But they want your money to fix it too and it is not cheap. I spend about $3,500 for braces.
What is wrong with a gap? It gives a person a different look. For my son, it was worth it because I think later in life he would have been very self-conscious about it (as he is with his small birthmark).

Relax, it's no big deal! The technical term for the space between your two front teeth is diastema, and can easily be closed up with the placement of a)composite (white) filling b)Veneers c) crowns d) Orthodontics. But I am gonna bet that your problem can be fixed with just a couple of small white fillings and it will look so natural. Just mention it to your dentist next time you are in, that you are not comfortable with it and you want the space closed. Easy as pie!!! Good Luck

OR, you can look at it as a good thing, some of the biggest stars have spaces between their two front teeth, and for some its their trademark! Just look at Madonna!!!

Usually it means that you have a gap between them...

Either that or you are Madonna or an Aquarius.

Statistics show that most gap toothed people are either Aquarius or close to it.

It means you have a space between your teeth. If it bothers you, ask your dentist to fix it.

It means you can squirt water out between them better than your friends.

I can't answer this question without knowing how old you are, so please post a new question stating your age and the approximate measurement of the gap. Millimeters would be nice...

If you mean to ask what does it mean, then it means nothing. It is simply a gap. If you mean to ask what it is called, then 'diastema'.
