Most likely is gas, problems with the heart are pressure in the chest not pain, I would take him to a doctor as soon as possible just to make sure he's fine..☺

Have him do a 100 yard dash 30 times, make sure you keep track of his average time... six year olds should average no more than 25.68 seconds per 100 yard dash...if he's any slower than that, that may be a sign that something is wrong...in that case, you should see a doctor.
Another way to tell is to have him do 40 push ups in 60 seconds...if he can't do that, let him rest for 3 minutes, then have him try it again... keep trying until he's able to do it... if, after 25 attempts, he's not able to do it, then there may be something wrong, in which case you should give him 13 children's Bayer asprin along with a gallon and a half of water.
(Please tell me you're not trying to get medical advice from Yahoo Answers about pain that your six year old is experiencing...
Turn off Oprah, and get the boy in to see a real doctor... NOW, you cheap ******* )

How about trying the EMERGENCY ROOM!!!! Why are you here asking questions??
You're going to let a 6 year decided when he should go to the doctor?? WHO IS THE PARENT HERE??? So what if you have to sit in the ER for a while? It is not normal for a 6 year old to have enough pain to not be able to talk.

I wouldn't touch this question with a ten foot pole to actually answer it.
But I wouldn't be sitting on the computer chatting if my 6 year old was having chest pains either so I think we are from different mindset and what good would my advice do someone like you anyway?

Chest pain is hard to diagnose. It can be anything from indigestion to a heart attack (even 6yr olds can have one) You need to go to the ER or urgent care, expensive yes, but better safe than sorry.

There r just so many reasons why this could be happening but the best advice is to see a doctor because this could be a sigh of something serious ok. Curious 2006 Good luck

Take him to the ER or at least Urgent care right now.
He's probably having respiratory problems

Try calling 1-800-ask-a-nurse for quick responses, they'll tell you if they think you should go to the ER.
