Buy an apple slicer. It cuts the apple into wedges and takes out the core at the same time.

Slice it into 1/8's. Then, lay each slice flesh side down on one side and take a sharp knife, and cut off the end of the core. If cut at an angle down and toward the flesh of the apple in a diagonal direction, it will not only cut out the seeds, but also the core very cleanly. When I am finished slicing and coring the apple, I sprinkle the slices with fresh lemon juice...and either enjoy but itself or with some fresh honey. If you are cutting the apple for an apple pie or other baked good, same cutting method applies just peel it before you slice it and core it...once it is sliced and cored...slice into thinner slices if desired for your baked good. Enjoy!

I love to slice my apples like you would potato chips. I get a steak knife out, and hold the apple sitting upright, then just start slicing from one side to the other cutting thin chips. You will of course, have to skip the center part, but just finish cutting around the core after you have sliced both sides. Im not a fan of apple wedges, so I go for the thin chips that I can munch on.

cut it in half through the stem to the bottom, then cut it into quarters the same direction. then with the apple laying on one of the cut sides cut out the core - repeat three more times, then cut smaller if desired

Halve it from blossom to stem, then quarter & carve out seed sections.

As kids, Mom would cut them the OTHER way....it makes a seed "Star".

For baking ("baked apples"): simply core it vertically.

For pie (or applesauce), peel, slice vertically into five or six pieces, then de-seed and slice those.

For the top of a cake, slice horizontally.

To put in muffins, peel then grate :-))

For eating raw, suit yourself! :-))

if you like thin cut, use a salad master (marketed decades ago) put on the slicer blade and there you have it.
