Lots of liquids, especially ones high in vitamin c, like orange juice. Bed rest, Tylenol for aches and pains. Hot chicken soup clears the nasal passages. Run a cool mist vapourizer at night to help with post nasal drip which leads to cough.
Unfortunately, colds just have to run their course.

Take vitamin C and zinc twice daily (for building immunity). Take Mucinex or Mucinex-DM (to break up the mucous). Sudafed will help you breathe better. Vicks also works wonders.

Nothing quick about it. You can take things to help you feel a little better, but you're going to have it at least 2 weeks.
