Good question my friend and I did rate it as such. I am curious though if you do relate the reading of the Bible with the study of the Bible? In my view there is a great difference.
I say this because I have met many who do read the Bible a lot but for some reason they do not get the message at all. I say this because I have read the Bible a little [that little is over 100 times cover to cover in the past 24 years]. That is no brag, just fact but I do not consider that I know anything. I am just a student and trying my best to learn the constantly consistent truth OK.
There is a saying here in the Philippines. All who work with charcoal must get some black on their hands, on their skin, and inside their lings. In the application those who do read some must get some of the words on them or in them. Thus I guess the results could be just take a bath and wash it off, cough it out , or better let it soak in and be absorbed and become part of ones life. I am afraid that I have met too many who go the bath route or do a lot of coughing.
Absolutely I recommend to read the Bible but only for those who do seek the pure constantly consistent truth. It must be ones life and not just a way of life OK, in my view.
You have a great day, smile, and do try to understand what I did say. If you do read the Bible make it your life completely and not just a way of life OK.

I'd like to be able to say that I read it everyday, like a big chunk of it,but I don't.I have read the Bible all the way through once.I mostly just research things in the Bible, like specific doctrines, and read the relevant parts.I also look up quite a few verses when I answer things on Yahoo Answers. But reading the Bible doesn't mean that you are saved though, although I think it is a good idea to read it anyway.

Not as often as I should, but I have read it all the way through once. It was a long time ago. Now, I consult it nearly every day, and I use it in two separate Bible studies and at church. So I do alright, though not as well as I should.

I read my Bible all the time and I always pray. I talk to God all the time.
I read a couple of times a day and have devotions with my beloved husband at night, we learn about the Lord and it gives us calmness before bedtime.

I used to hop round in my widely used interpreting - a financial ruin or 2 from diverse books. notwithstanding at present I extremely were ending books (nonetheless leap round with regard verses too). maximum of my interpreting at present has been contained in the recent testomony - elect to split up interpreting in old and New Testaments! As for the quantity, that's diverse widely used notwithstanding that's by no skill sufficient - i'm a slow reader.

First of all, reading the Bible has nothing to do with the love for Christ. Remember my friend. OK? There are Atheists websites, that read the Bible daily, to try to conjecture error.
There are times I don't "read" the bible for a few days at all. I use the bible as ref, many times a day for a lot of reasons. I spent 4 years and several thousand dollars reading the Word. BUT...This is me.
The average person should read it all they can. Your statement/ question does not apply to everyone :)
Good Q*.

In the beginning, I tried to do that twice a day.
Now, not at all. At times I could relate to various books of the bible, but not chapter and verse.
Now the devil has me off on another bogus path

Around 1-2 times a day. On average. I also have devotions and morning worships and stuff like that.

Several, but I really want to read it one time a day for an hour.
Early morning hours before work. Hard habit to start.
