Guest it's time for another copy and paste from the last 3 times I answered this.... and keep in mind God does not allow bad things to happen people do... I don't allow my children to do bad things however it is a choice that they make.....

I was raped by my stepfather and if not for the strength of the Lord I would not be here, My mother is dieing from Aids and if not for the strength and comfort I found in his word I would not have made it through that, my brother-in-law raped my daughter in my house if not for the strength I have in him I would have killed him instead of forgiving him, I would not have the strength to admit that here on this site if God wasn't here with me, if not for God and my faith in him when my husband and I both lost our jobs as many others did after 9/11 and we were evicted and lost everything we would not have had the strength to stand, and first and far most if not for the God that I love and serve when two different doctors told me I would never have a child I would have given up and lost my faith and I would not have the 2 children that he blessed me with..... I don't blame God for the things that went wrong in my life BUT I THANK HIM, GLORIFY HIM, PRAISE HIM, STAND BECAUSE OF HIM, AND LOVE HIM FOR ALL THE MANY WAYS HE BROUGHT ME OUT OF THOSE SITUATIONS WITHOUT A BLIMISH OR SCAR!!! I did not sale my body to get my bills paid because I waited on the Lord, I did not curse his name when my mother got sick because the choices she made and the enemy she chose to serve at that time put her in that death bed and God is the reason why she has not taken HIV medication but ten years later she is still here!!! So you can find fault in him if you chose but I know him have faith in him and serve him I know through it all he has never left my side but if I only believe he will bring me out on top of every situation! So may be if everyone would stop practicing hate, doubting him, not believing in him, and forsaking him put these keyboards down and lift his name up and pray for the afflictions you are speaking of may be just may be if it is his will he will stop those things but, I guess most of you will never know if he will because you are too bust searching for ways to disprove him.... Amen, Thank you Jesus and goodnight I am going to go pray!!!!

Some people believe God has a master plan and that mere humans cannot possibly begin to understand it. Basically, they believe if something bad happens, that's just the way it was meant to be because God wants it that way. And while it may be very hard to understand/get through it, it will all come for good in the end.

Personally, I believe God does not "let" bad things happen. They just happen. People get diseases and die too young, people get into tragic accidents, people kill other people. God does not play favorites or choose which people are worth saving. He created us and gave us free will--the freedom to make our own choices--good or bad. He will not intervene to change the course of a person's life or human history. I believe God put us here to learn from each other and develop into the best people we can be. Sometimes growth comes from very painful situations.

All thing work together for good and bad things happen to make us go stronger and be able to help and care and be compassionate to others.

If you never had the down days you would never appreciate the up days.

God allows things to happen he does not cause certain things to happen some things happen from wrong or poor choices we make in life, and yes some things happen to good people that are NOT nice or fair but this is life life is what we live and it is not always spiritual it is how we handle the trials that make us who we are and what we become

There is a question! It all boils down as to whether s/he is interventionist or not, does s/he direct human affairs or sit up high on a throne of gold and ivory and observe? As to bad things happening, that is our doing. We have free will, which means that we can choose to be bad or good. We are not perfect, this is reflected in all the horrible things that happen. Selah.

And don't forget to ask why Jehovah allowed 6 million of his chosen people to be incinerated by Hitler, or how Buddha allowed Truman to vaporize 200,000 men, women or children, or how God allowed Stalin to execute 30 million Christians. If god was truly benevolent and omnipotent, could these things have happened.

The mere existence of evil in this world makes the existence of a benign god impossible: If god were omnipotent, he could eliminate evil and if he were benign, he would want to do so. Furthermore, if god were all-good, as he is supposed to be, he could not sin. However, if he were all-powerful, he could sin.

If God is willing to prevent evil but is not able to prevent evil, then he is not omnipotent.

If God is able to prevent evil but is not willing to prevent evil, then he is not benevolent.

Evil is either in accordance with God’s intention or contrary to it.

Thus, either God cannot prevent evil or he does not want to prevent evil.

Therefore, it follows that God is either not omnipotent or he is not benevolent. He cannot be both omnipotent and benevolent.

And there's the absurdity of prayers, requests by confessedly unworthy persons to have the laws of the universe repealed in their favor. In a war, if soldiers in opposite trenches pray to God, who does he listen to?

After horrendous disasters or personal calamities, religious people commonly thank their god for the miracle of saving them or helping them. It does not occur to them that, if god is omnipotent, he could have prevented the disaster before it struck in the first place.

God doesn't let bad things happen, that is just what the devil wants you to think. He wants you to blame God for bad things and become one of his. Its the devil not God, but you can ask God for strength to get through bad things and he will not let you down,

Usually there is some different reasons, one is to get you to be, who you were intended to be, God may allow something bad to happen to move your direction and or to teach you through learning experiences, to make you stronger, to give you experience to help others, and through it all once your able to understand that, you'll have gain knowledge and understanding.

Peace!

god created us so he can do what he wants, and only he knows the answer to that question, so let it be, god has a purpose and reason for anything so we should just put our trust in him and not ask these things that only god himself can answer
