a Coondog tracks a coon and put the coon up a tree. Most coohnhounds have long ears and a good voice. they are easy to train and hunt alone or in packs.
The same breedsof hunting dogs are for hunting Elephants. The training is some what differnt. They still track the elephant but some times it may tak 6 or more dogs to push the elephant up a tree. A lot of heavy lifting.

Both beagles and coonhounds are hounds. They're scent hounds, on the grounds that they use their nose and scent to monitor recreation. Although they are each scent hounds, they serve relatively one-of-a-kind cause. Beagles path commonly rabbit and small above floor sport. Coonhounds, which are available in many varities, by and large path racoon, but in addition can be used on endure, it is usually generally accomplished at night time (nite hunts). Beagle are available in 2 sizes, the 13 inch and the 15 inch. Coonhound are bigger, there are the: Plott, Bluetick Redtick, English & American. Though the English & American Coonhound appear similiar (equivalent coat pattern), their built are moderately extraordinary. I like beagle, in particular the 15 inch (greater), however my favourite of all is the Bluetick Coonhound and would really like to own one in the future.

I had a black and tan coon hound, and I would advise people to not have this kind of dog in town. Too many uneducated people mistake them for doberman or rotty crosses, and express an unusual amount of fear and agression towards them because of it. We loved ours, but had to get rid of it because people were so rude about her, we felt she'd really be better off on my in-laws' acreage.

It's ***COONHOUND***!!!!! ONE WORD!!!
There are SEVERAL breeds of coonhounds!
And AKC is NOT the place-UKC has ALL of em
********NOT********** supposed to run anything BUT coon if you're huntin' COON! Some folks use coonhounds for bear, lion, hog, cat, fox ...BUT,coonhunters are VERY strict about *NOT* running "trash" when hunting coon!...
