Ciao is ironically pronounced as chow, but means bye in Rome. I way I remember this is I say "ciao" after i eat.

it depends on whether you wanna pronounce like "chow"(as in chow down) or more like "cheeow" (with a long "e" sound in between "ch" and "ow"). sometimes it depends on what language ur speaking to choose between the two pronunciations.
