Yes. When my infant son was sick he had a certain odor about him that I could not do anything about. When he passed away, I could "smell" him on at least 3 occasions. I then told him I was OK and that he can go to the Father. Ever since I said that to him I have not smelled that scent. I brought this up to my husband and he said he noticed it a couple of times too.

I wouldn't recommend opening your door to demons. There's no need to do anything like that. Your stepfather would be deeply grieved if evil forces took over as a result of such a foolish attempt in recalling him. Just remember him through photos and personal memories. That should suffice, because if they really loved him and knew him well, they could never truly forget about him, right?
Most of those supernatural readings are scams aimed at taking away your money or your soul, or both. Usually the ones who are speaking aren't the real relatives, they're only demons pretending to be him so you can become addicted to their advice and eventually come under their influence. Ouija boards, psychics, tarot cards, they're all evil and mixed with a lot of lies and only a hint of truth.
The girl "Mystic Portal" who claims to be experiencing contact with her loved ones with the protection of prayers is not a faithful Christian. God prohibits use of the occult arts.

First, yes I have been contacted by deceased loved ones. Second, I happily spoke with them. And third, I continue to contact them and other spirits on a regular basis. I have done so for years through spirit guides, most recently, through my spirit guide, RA. Your stepfather has to make the decision as to whether or not he will stay in contact with his family. The problem may be that he is not yet open to earth contacts. Time and prayer by earth-bound spirits (those still in human form) may tip the scale in that balance. I can say this, all spirits continue on. Some choose to stay near their families, others do not. Don't be afraid of the spirit world. Pray for guidance and protection from those spirits who would mislead or harm you. God hears every prayer. The best prayer is: "Bless me, Father God, and guide me in all that I say and do. In Jesus' name I pray." This answer submitted by: MysticPortals/JTandRA

I was contacted for a brief, say, 15 seconds about 2 years after my Dad died.I was so taken aback,I wouldn't know how to repeat it.
I was leaving for work at 4:00 am as usual,as I stepped out of the bedroom and closed the door ,it was pitch black.I reached for the light switch,as usual and for some reason,I couldn't find it.As I'm sweeping my hand around,I'm feeling a definite presence,it's creeping me out,I try harder to find the switch which has three switches on it.I get an electric chill up my spine as if someone moved through me ,then ,I hear the toy telephone say "Bye-Bye" in the spare bedroom. It won't say bye-bye unless you hold the star and the pound keys at the same time. Now I find the switch, walk over peer in the room ,no one there. The feeling lifts and has never happened again. That was about 8 yrs. ago.I have the feeling he finally figured it out,he might have been confused or lost?

i have done many readings and had many readings
and they have all been wonderful
and for the person that said that it is in the mind .... the mind cant give you evidence and facts
so sorry to hear about your stepfather ... i too lost mine in january
but i have had word from him many times now
i would suggest going to a spiritualist church where you can see the mediums work on platform before you decide if you wish a private reading ... you may even get one on the night free at the service
i would be happy to help you find your nearest one if you wish to get in touch xx

Gee, are you sure about this? I'd freak if this happened. But you could try to go to a medium, or attand a spiritist church. They are all over the UK, there is one on Mersey Street in Warrington, Cheshire, if you're in a hurry to get there, land via Liverpool/ Manchester Int'l airports and walk into a Thursday congregation (7pm).
Good luck.

This is an odd question to come up on because my grandmother who is 95 years old told me that my aunt and grandfather, both deceased, came to see her today. This gave me chills. I haven't seen any spirits but I think that when you remember someone this keeps them alive for you.

I had some family, even my dog came back, and other Spirits, perhaps my Spirit guide that has been communicating. I don't always see them, I feel their presence, and know who they are.
I don't think there's any thing that you can do to stop them except to tell them to leave you alone, that worked for me once. But it seems to me, if you are concern for that person and you pray a lot about it, that would invite them to communicate to you, they usually would come back to tell you that they are OK and in a good place.

You should go to an Iskcon(International Society for Krishna Consciousness. temple and ask them to help him out of his stuck position. If one is contacting you who is dead that means they didn't leave this world and they are very attached to some person or situation here. You need to help him go to his next situation. He is stuck. Most people will think you are nuts but they won't

My grandfather came to me three years after his death. I did not contact him, he came to me.
I was running a very high temperature so high the thermometer could not record it. This lasted 6 days. I thought I was dieing and I actually believe I was. It was the sixth day of my fever and my grandad came to me and visited with me and we talked for 20 minutes. He wanted me to go with him, but I said I had a family to raise and they needed me.
When he left my fever started going down. I believe I was supposed to die that day and I refused to go.
