I need a shampoo without conditioner in it. Prell(sp?), Pantene, L'Oreal Paris Vive Pro, and Pert Plus don't do anything for my hair.

I should have mentioned that I did not have a haircut until I was fourteen, so my split ends are really rampant, and very far up in my hair.

Split ends need to be cut off. That is the only way to get rid of them. The reason regular trims are so important is because you want to get the split ends off before they travel up the hair shaft and get worse.

First , don't use shampoo with conditioner in it. If it is a good shampoo it will wash any of the conditioning products away. Second no conditioner (and most certainly no shampoo) will cure split ends. It will temporarily, for a couple hours seal them and make them look less extreme. So will curling or straighting your hair with a curling iron, or straighting iron. But it is temporary. Look at salon products, I love Biologe. Over the counter, Dove is great. Get the type for you hair, wash with a gentle shampoo and them coat with conditioner and leave on for at least 2 min. before rinsing. Then use a hair mask or hot oil treatment after. Any brand is good. BUT, you need to get your hair trimmed. All of these are very temporary. Good luck

I hate to disappoint you,but shampoo's don't get rid of split ends, you have to have them trimmed off. You need a moisturizing shampoo that will help keep moisture in your hair on a regular basis, which will help >prevent< the ends splitting,... but wont remove them.

I'm really not trying to be a smart *** or anything here, but once its split, how do you fix it? Glue? Get a trim and then start treating your hair better I think would be the best solution.

Go to a hair salon and ask them to cut your split ends.
