ash is a component of food which couldn't be digested or burned in metabolism so u lose it like take it ,sometimes but rare it make digestion problems........... i hope u asked about that ash i know not the ash tree,it's something else .

Well, it is filler, & not good for neutered male cats...my cat died from it's effects on him, a neutered male, & 14 years old. My current cat is male & never gotten it, & still going strong at 14
