Someone at your old job had spread lies about you behind your back to make you unpopular, insulted your family and made crank calls to your phone? And if you knew where they worked now? What would you do?

No. I could care less about gossip especially when I'm no longer there. There's nothing I can do about it anyway and if anyone really cared that much to want to destroy my reputation, then they'd have to be a real loser to go to those lengths. If I ignore them, then eventually they'll get bored and target someone easier. If they resort to such behavior habitually then I would just let them rot in their own pathetic mess because eventually they'll find someone else at the old job that's easier to target for whatever reason and ruin their own credibility in the process by overdoing it and then they'll be exposed for the loser they really are.

If they made crank calls, then I'm sure I can change my number and fix that problem easily. Now if they persist beyond that then I'll just let the police handle it and go about my business while this person (who I supposedly know where they worked) would have some explaining to do when they get busted for stalking. There, problem solved. ;)

If he/she is doing this at work and you can prove it, you can contact the manager. Be careful with over the top revenge antics though as they can quickly spiral out of control. If you decide you want to go that route - like putting sugar in their gas tank or something - you'll have to wait awhile. Wait until that person has had time to forget about you and make new enemies - then unleash your wrath and they won't know who is doing it. Whatever you do make sure it doesn't come back to bite you in the bum.

revenge is another form of laziness, you rather dwell on the pass of others, instead of seek the futre for yourself, forgive people, for we are fools in a game called life. It seem they have changed jobs, therefore you should know that this person is no threat to anyone but themself...move passed it, and use it to be stronger, take what you have learned and knick the problem right in the butt the next time anything like that happens. You are and be the bigger person, people who bring other people down for there fun and intertainment, have a lot less going for them than you think...

I would just ignore them as this person is obviously malicious and nasty - revenge will only lower you to their level and get you nowhere. I usually like to entertain all the possible things I could do if I wanted to but never actually do it. And then I just say to myself - never mind, they are just sad, unhappy people and I am better than that! Just forget it and move on. Or write him/her a letter telling them how sad they are and that you pity him/her and them forget it. If you do let yourself get so bothered and give them something back that will only give them more pleasure as that I what they want. So do not give them that. My gran always told me that ignoring someone is the worst thing you can do and I believe that is true. It drives most people mad!!!

Why take time to answer insults? why wasting effort and energy on someone who doesnt deserve it? The fact he did spread lies doesnt make it true, only stupid people believe in gossip.

Do you want to be in his low level? do the same.
Do you want to show respect or some indiference? do nothing.

Move forward with your life. The past is the past. Dont live in the past. Just show that you are not the kind of person that they were gossipping about. Be a nice Christian person and show that you are able to rise above the gossip by being yourself. Take care ;)

Absolutely nothing - not worth the worry if it's all lies. Forget it but if it becomes too abusive get a piece of equipment to record the telephone calls, and get your bill itemised and get incoming calls logged by your telephone company. Sounds like he has an unstable mine!

I would sue their backside for deformation of character and harassment. I'm sure you can get a restraining order out on them. You have to do things the legal way otherwise things could get out of hand and you could end up in serious trouble.
