Are Iraqui people just another type of white, or are they their own race?

They are classified Caucasian by the scientific community so that would make them another type of white person. There are a lot more than just the 3 races though and as people have become more intelligent we all realize there are many different types and colors of people in this world than use to be recognized by the scientific community. With the mixing of so many different types of people there are races we didn't even think about 20 years ago. So, I guess your question really doesn't even matter in the grand scheme of things.

Half as a response to this question and half as a response to an earlier response, while most the Western world thinks it is neatly and easily removing the concept of race, most of the rest of the world still runs on the concept of races, religions, tribes, nationalities, and just about anything else people can think up to divide themselves. "Iraqi" is a nationality, meaning someone born in the country of Iraq. There are two primary cultural factions--"races" to those of you not yet afraid of the word--those being Arab, and Kurd. There are plenty of other minorities, such as Chaldeans, Assyrians, Turks, Turkmen, and so forth, but Arabs make the majority, while Kurds are the largest minority, primarily in the north. The main religion is Islam (duh)... Shia are predominant in the south, Sunnis in the north and west, but the Shia are the clear majority... there are, however, still Christians and even Jews and other faiths yet to be found in Iraq.

So, no, there is no "Iraqi race". No more than there is an "American race" or "Russian race" or "Indian race". Races still exist; the lines just aren't as broad and easy to read as the denouncers of the term would always like to think.

You don't mean"white",you mean caucasian(Arab).They are also Semites, just like the Jews.Many people find that hard to believe.
The Jews consist of several tribes.The tribes have been united as one for thousands of years.Unlike many of the Arabs, who still have a tribal mindset.This is why,when not killing Jews they are killing each other.

The Iraqi's are Arabs or semites. This is a dark skinned group of people much like most people of the middle east, including the Israeli's!

race is a faulty word that was given up on by the scientific community a long time ago. i think its healthier to forget it. try looking for cultural similarities and differences. in many ways we are all the same. in other ways we are different. learn to respect other peoples cultural differences too.
