As much as I want to believe my religion, I feel that the evolution theory is correct . If the bible was written incorrectly or abridged by the writer of genesis to not include dinosaurs, and the timeframe infered between Adam and Eve and the creation of the Earth were different, then it would be possible that both theories are correct.

God did not create Earth in a week. The Bible does not say how long that took. It simply says" In the Beginning God created the heavens and the Earth. " The rest of Genesis Chapter 1 is dealing with the time after this creation. The Days spoken of here are not limited to 24 hours as God is not dependent on the Sun to tell time. The Bible says a day with God (Yahweh, Jehovah) can be a thousand years or much longer (2 Peter 3:8, Psalms90:4).
According to the order of creation as listed in Genesis 1:24,25 The dinosaurs would have been created day 6, but before man.

Our God is a being of order, creating the earth took longer than a week, look at how long it takes to have a baby, reality does not change. We walk on dinosaurs, so they where here first, it was a long, long time ago. God doesn't need to rush anything, he has all the time in the world.

God did not create the earth or man. Dinosaurs lived way before man.

But somehow I think you already knew that.

To Robster:

If you read the Bible with a "childlike faith," that means you will accept it, and rather than ask questions, say, "Okay, it's true." So I guess if you read the Quran with a "childlike faith," you'd understand and believe in it too.

To the asker:

You may want to take the "week" in the Bible less literally. What is time to God?

Pre-flood

They were part of the creatures created, but weren't saved by the Ark. No reason given, just they weren't saved on the Ark. I think it might have been, they were in the catagory of "there were giants in the land in those days".

That was the explanation given to me in one of my "science" classes. I went to a Fundamentalist Christian school.
