Here's how I love them. Dump them into the crock pot and cover them with bbq sauce and let them cook. mmmm.

How To Cook Cocktail Franks

COCKTAIL FRANKS
5 lbs. smoked cocktail franks
1 1/2 c. hickory smoked BBQ sauce
1/2 c. brown sugar
1/2 c. water
1/4 c. bourbon
2 tbsp. minced onion
Combine ingredients in crockpot. Simmer for several hours. Serve.

BBQ COCKTAIL FRANKS
1 (16 oz.) pkg. cocktail franks
1 (16 oz.) pkg. cocktail smokies
1 (16 oz.) can jellied cranberry sauce
1 bottle chili sauce
1 c. brown sugar
1/2 c. bourbon (optional)
Place all ingredients in crockpot on high for 4 hours. Turn to low until ready to serve.

COCKTAIL FRANKS IN SWEET 'N SOUR SAUCE
1/2 c. chili sauce
1/2 c. orange marmalade
1 tsp. prepared mustard
1 lb. cocktail franks
Combine chili sauce, marmalade, franks and mustard until heated through. Serve in bowl with toothpicks.

COCKTAIL SWEET/SOUR FRANKS
6 oz. mustard
10 oz. currant jelly
Melt together. Add 1 pound hot dogs, cut on diagonal. Simmer for half hour. Serve with toothpicks.

Dump them in a crockpot with a bottle of BBQ sauce and about half a cup of Jack Daniels. Cover and cook for a few hours.

crock pot + 2 or 3 bags franks + 1 jar grape jelly + 1 jar chili sauce on high for 1 - 2 hours

can also use equal parts coca-cola and ketchup for the sauce

It's congealed oil & fat. Nothing to worry about. I just don't recommend eating the fat itself, but the frankfurts are perfectly fine.

large pan with water 1/2 way up...salted...add franks to cold water...heat to boiling and turn off heat; let sit for a few minutes and remove franks....

you can bake , slow cook crock pot, or brown on stove. boiling them takes out the flavor...
