You may get a ticking off and a small fine. It's more likely that nothing will happen to you and that a grateful prosecutor will look at your documents and apply to have you discharged. (I do hope so!)

Answer for UK residents:

The driver of a vehicle can be required to produce various documents to the police. If a driver cannot produce the documents immediately, the police will give the driver a notice explaining that they have seven days to produce the documents at a police-station. This notice is known as the HORT/1 or “producer”.

Summary of the Law

Failing subsequently to produce your driving licence, certificate of insurance or MOT certificate (if required) for inspection is an offence.

It can be a defence to produce the documents as soon as you can thereafter, if it was not possible for you to do so within the seven days.

If you do not produce a document it is likely that a summons will be sent alleging both a failure to produce the document and the relevant document offence itself. For example, if you fail to produce your insurance certificate, you can expect a summons alleging failing to produce and driving without insurance. The prosecutor will withdraw the charge of driving without insurance if you can produce your certificate, but the failing to produce charge will stay unless you have can show good reason why you did not produce the document.

Maximum Sentence

This offence can be dealt with only by the Magistrates Court. The maximum penalty is a fine of up to £1000.

The Court has no power to disqualify for this offence or put penalty points on a driver’s licence. The fine tends to reflect the administrative complications that result when documents are not produced in good time.

A fine and points on your licence. As you have a valid licence and insurance and you are able to produce the documents to the Courts you shouldn't get anything more than that. Just produce your documents in the 7 days next time save yourself the aggro.

If you recieve a fine you could ask for an abstract and get an attorney to go to court for you or write a letter on your behalf and it will probably be waived. www.prepaidlegal.com/hub/tiffanylappo is a site that offers service for $35 a month under the expanded family plan and will go to court for you

Do you mean 3 three hundred and sixty 5 days previous, as adverse to three month previous? i might want to assert no. there's a torture scene that leaves plenty as a lot because the mind's eye. likely not the finest ingredient for a baby that youthful. and that i enable my childrens watch "break of day of the lifeless" even as they were 7 and 9. in case you'll watch a horror movie with a smooth youngster, make confident they see the "making of" extras first, so that they see how the make up works, and the actors sitting there speaking with their jaws laying aside. It more effective facilitates them to split truth from delusion. My childrens have by no potential had nightmares, both.

The punishment depends on the state and court. You will probably be found guilty of failure to follow the directions of the law/court. Misdemeanor at the most, and no criminal record.
