Nothing at all - they stay where they are.

The AV software will continue to work as usual, and catch viruses as it always has done. Your subscription only applies to updates that would usually be downloaded from the internet - things such as program patches, new virus definitions etc. This means that if a new virus is released, you will not be protected against it.

It is usually cheaper to buy another version of your AV software than it is to renew your subscription.

Renewing your subscription means you are stuck with the 2004, 2005 etc vesion, but if you buy a new version, you get all the benefits of the latest software which usually has things like anti-spam, popup blockers and anti-spyware built in.

Quarantining and deleting viruses from quarantine destroys them completely. usually once you delete something interior the Recycle Bin, the laptop merely gets rid of all references to it on your disk. The record itself continues to be there, and could be until something overwrites it. archives restoration classes paintings by potential of scanning the unallocated area on your disk for information, then recuperating them. What Norton and all different antivirus classes do is delete the references to the virus information and then overwrite all area formerly allotted to them with random bits, so as that they are able to't in all probability come returned. some virus tips- do no longer use Norton. that's a CPU hog and would not detect a lot of viruses. Use Bitdefender, Kaspersky, or AVG.

Nothing happens. Whatever it caught before is gone, disappeared. The problem is that now if you don´t get a new anti-virus soon you run the risk of getting one virus in your computer because you have no protection.

when your subscription exspires all that happens is that you will not be able to get any updated virus definitions any previous updates will still be there and continue to protect you, any items found will also remain in quarrantine or deleted if that was the action taken.
