1. Remotely managed large project resulting in significant gain in operating territory.
2. Managed team of over 100,000 employees in hostile work environment, reducing headcount by over 2000, saving employer potential cost of high-impact health benefits.
3. Reduced budgetary expenses for foreign deployment to bare minimum required to sustain effort, saving money.
4. Re-prioritized and re-deployed existing resourced to allow increased utilization of otherwise non-essential employees.
5. Aggressively expanded operating base during hostile takeover, resulting in acquisition of critical, limited resources.
6. My all time favorite: Actualized the strategic visioning initiatives of senior management.

Methinks he has enough $ to retire. And yes of course he has friends in the defense industry who will give him a no show job. I don't think they will actually let him run anything.
Although it's interesting as a rhetorical question -- He'd probably say there I dealt with an extremely complicated situation with many unknown unknowns, some know unknowns, some known knowns as well as unknown knowns.
So maybe he'll write a few science fiction books.
PS see below, nice job Don, you've got the corporate lingo down to a tee -- lol.

Assuming you're not a lost Democratic Underground person just looking to be a troll...
Rumsfeld has been the Sec of Defense twice, and leaves at age 76. I don't think that lack of money is a real issue for him.

Developed & excuted plan to enter Iraq, smashed their army, captured their leader, killed his evil sons, killed the head of local Alkita group (Zarkawi). Set up temporary government. Set up sysytem to allow Iraqi people to elect there own government. Becan rebuilding infrasrtucture. Experienced set backs do to local & foreign terrorest. Lost support of American people. Got Fired. I'm a neat dresser & well groomed. Some may say I'm stuborn but really I'm just tough minded. I'm looking to do some work in Iran. Signed, Rummy (see other notes on Afkanastan)

Depends. If he is thinking like a patriot, he will emphasize his strong features as well as his weak ones.
If he is thinking like a politician, he will use double-talk and no-speak sentences and words that, when read, sound great, but are nothing but hype and lies.
He probably will not even do a resume. He and his group were too involved in big-oil to worry about finding another job .

He is not job hunting. I am certain he has plenty of pals who will put him on payroll in a heartbeat doing nothing and getting paid a huge salary.

Just like any other stinking politician, he will probably end up coming out of this smelling like a rose. I was wondering this same thing when I first heard that he was being replaced.

Just look a real close look at all the pan handlers in the streets. There he will be squinting away.
