“For many are called, but few are chosen.”
-- Jesus' words quoted at Matthew 20:16 and 22:14.
EDIT: "Untilyoucamealong," you'd better double check that. No reputable historian denies Jesus existed. The question is, was He who He said He was?

Q1: How can you be sure Jesus was the "son" of "god" when half the world disagrees with you?
A1: BECAUSE THE BIBLE SAYS HE IS THE SON OF GOD.
Q2:If you believe the bible, why? It's a book with chapters missing & added!
A2: PROVE IT.
Q3: there are other holy books too, each one claiminf to know God better then the next. Do you ever enev consider the validity of the bible?
A3: YES, I DID. I STILL COULDN'T PROVE IT WRONG.

If ppl do not believe that the bible is real then go to where ever it is so they can have someone translate the scrolls for them Yes the scrolls exist they are in a musenum somewhere. They will read many times over that Jesus spoke about his father in heaven many times while he was on earth. I do not know why you think that chapters are missing. not in mine maybe a few verses one that i know of but that is it. And nothing is added in mine some religions have edited their bible. But shame on them because they will have to answer to God for that If you do not Believe in God or the bible Well all i can say is i hope you find him before it is too late. If you want an real answer pray to God from the heart even if you don't believe in him just try. What have you got to lose? Nothing.

I like how you ask the question and then leave a website for us to look at to believe you. Just let people believe what they want, whether it is in a old book or on a website. And how do you know "half" of the world disagrees are you God? Consider the validity of the websites you read as well as the Bible.

More than half disagrees. It's only christians, and not even all of those, who believe Jesus was the 'son' of god. Muslims don't believe this, nor do Jews. Quite a few modern folks who consider themselves christians merely follow the teachings of christ, but do not consider him to be a god, or the son of a god.
Then take into account that more than half the world does not have any of those three religions as their preference and you're left with a pretty sizable minority. But nowhere near half.
It just seems like 'half' to those of us who live in nations where that belief system is fairly prevalent, like the US.

Jehovah's Witnesses believe Jesus was just God's son, not God.
Ask them this... "Is Jesus a false god?" They will obviously answer no. Then say " The bible states that their is only one true God,Jehovah" is this correct?" Of course they will answer "yes". Now bring them to John 1:1 in their own New World Translation where the scripture has been twisted to read "The Word (Jesus) was "a" god. Then explain.."If Jesus is "a" god he must be a false one since Jehovah is the only true God."

The bible said Jesus was born of God the Father and the Holy spirit. Something not really possible logically. But logic can not apply to God. You either beleive or you dont. I for one know there is a creator, and wonder if anyone has the real book or if there has been so much re-writting to serve this ministry or that, that the real story is somewhat lost.

I think more than half of the world disagrees, or at least don't believe in Christianity.
Think of India and China.
2 billion + people who probably don't believe in Christianity. (some may before any Jebus freaks jump on me about the 2 billion, but the majority probably don't)
Guess that means that 2 billion people, or approximately 1/3 of "god's children" will be going to hell. Sounds like a good system.

Yes there are many holy books that is why I chose to make a study of most of them to have a clear understanding. Though no one can understand God by just reading one has to go to someone who has already seen Him. Hep you can see Him but you have to know how. If He is our Father why wouldn't we be able to see Him? I don't mean some lack luster so called God I mean the real One.I call Him Krishna But as you know he Has many names such as Allah and Jehovah. All scriptures are originally from God but through time man changes them to fit his idea. Krishna says in the Gita "Whenever there is a decline in religious principals and the truth appears to be lost I appear again and again or send my representative to reestablish the truth." I found an unbroken chain of disciplic succession of the Vedic knowledge which is authentic. From the Date of Lord Krishna's appearance. Bhaktivedanta Prabhupada is the latest representative sent to reestablish the truth. I recommend his books and one of his disciples Stephen Knapp. The Vedic knowledge is universal and doesn't put God in a box. I recommend the book the Universal Path to Enlightenment.at http://www.stephen-knapp.com

People are entitled to believe what they want and no one can take that from them. Yes I believe that Jesus is the son of God but tell me why should I waste my time and energy making a debate about something that you seem to have strong feelings on already. Some people believe that the Atkins diet work, but Old man Atkins died while on his own diet. So did the diet really work.
