Ok I am 14 years old, 205 lbs., and 5'6 and I want to lose 30 lbs. to get down to at least 175. My high school's Coronation is in February and I wanted to know how I could lose the weight in 4 months??

run atleast for 1 hour 3 times a week. and if it rains or weather conditions are not right still excersise indoors(pushups, situps)...watch what you eat...don't eat a full breakfast, eat like a fruit to get you going...drink plenty of water all the time, no exemption! eat on a smaller plate and don't go for seconds....drink more water...it takes training but you will get through it...good luck! YOU CAN DO IT!!!!!!! you are still young! GO FOR IT!!!!!!!!!!

The important thing to remember is not to skip meals and exercise daily for at least 20 Min's. Also Drop sodas all together. the sodium in sodas causes you to gain water weight, even if the soda is a diet drink. replace your coke, sprite, or dr. pepper with water. it will help wash out the excess sodium your body has absorbed and i promise just by drinking plenty of water you will look better and feel better in just a couple of weeks! i lost 10lbs in two weeks just by drinking water.

1 gram of protein = 4 calories
1 gram of carbohydrates = 4 calories
1 gram of fat = 9 calories

So 1 pound of fat = 9*454 = 4086 calories

Note: Our body fat contains around 3500 calories, as 10% of it is water.
So in order to lose a pound of fat (4086) in 2 weeks, we need to decrease calories consumption by 290 per day as 4096/14=290(approx)

15 minute of good exercise will help you in losing around 100 calories. So in order to lose 1 pound of fat in two weeks, we need to exercise for around 45 minutes (290 calories) if we do not want to make any changing in our eating habit. So just take care of the amount of calories in the food you take. The best idea for losing weight will be by cutting down the junk food with exercising. So greatest way to lose weight is a mixture of diet and exercise as exercise builds muscles, and bigger muscles burn more fat.
