My girlfriend I have been seeing for a year or so recently told me that she is not in love with me anymore, but still loves me.

I asked what from here, do you need space and she said yes. This bomb was dropped right before I had to go to work two days ago. I have not heard from her at all.

How much space do I give her? Should I call her at all or wait until she calls?

why don't you give her a space of 10 years and forget her?

That sounds like her gentle way of saying its over. Its too bad she simply didnt have the guts to come out and say it. Well, she kinda did when she said she wasnt in love with you anymore. Thing is, you are holding out for hope that things can work out because she said she wanted 'space'. What she should have said was that the relationship wasnt working for her anymore and that it was over. She didnt give you the closure you needed.
Dont waste your time and hang on waiting for something thats never gonna happen.

If anyone needs space that means they are not the right person for you. Move on.
