What is the point? You want to have a chat with some one in the Laundromat? Go ahead chat away. I think it is great to chat there because the place is so boring.

Well I live in the French Quarter (well use to) and the 2 laundromats close to me you don't talk to anyone.......in one (ok in both) people take their clothes off in the laundry and wash them while in undies or in coats (if cold out) or nude, sooooo no talkie to them. At the other some one had used duck tape on the window and made it look like a TV (knobs, antenna and all) now that should tell you how that one was and no I didn't talk to too many in there unless I saw them in the bar next door
We always laughed about the TV screen because it was like watching a show

Bring a book, yes it would probably be more entertaining having a conversation, but there are alot of weirdos out there. Not saying that you are one.. but people are cautious, as they should be, and are resistant to conversing with strangers.

Happy Laundering!

ps. if you're into sudoku, buy a sudoku book at half price books, super cheap, and pass the time that way.

I used to live in Reno NV - There was a GREAT Laudromat there! It had a bar in it! You could drink and play video poker while you waited!
