They've all got it between them. If I were you I'd choose the simplest (learn by rote type answer) -(Simon2's). But isn't it a hoot reading them all? It's just like being in the classroom with the kids arguing over the correct answer! Love it!

I went to a hockey match - Je suis allé observer une allumette d'hockey

Je suis allé(e) regarder un jeu de hockey.
Allumette is a match for lighting a fire.
The e in parentheses is needed if a woman or
girl is speaking.

Substitute the word allumette for "une partie d'hockey" from the previous answers. An allumette is a match that is used to light a fire.
