I am a 17 year old girl and I really need a color change for my graduation. I have dark brown hair,hazel eyes and fair skin. A friend told me that I should go platinum blonde. Should I do it?
If not, which color do you recommend?

No, you shouldn't go platinum blonde. Try a medium brown with blonde highlights.

Your hair is dark- do not dye it blonde. It will not take the dye. Worst case, it may turn it orange, and you do not want to have orange hair to remember forever in all of your graduation pictures.
If this is a big event, you might want to consider a professional. If you can't afford that, there are home highlighting kits-- I agree that golden or honey highlights would probably look very nice on you.
Either way- remember that if you are using a home kit, be sure to test a piece of your hair first-- so you will know if it will turn orange.

What do YOU want to do? If you want to do it, go for it. A lighter brown might look better, however. Dark brown hair, because of the over-all skin tone and eye brows, usually looks funky blonde.

Keep the hair but try a color rinse just in case you don't like how your hair would turn out. Try red copper streaks that color is nice.

If you have dark brown hair... i wouldnt go fully blonde... just have some golden tones streaked in... so it looks suttle and classy

Keep your hair, but get caramel highlights, You will look beautiful! Plus, if you decide to put it up in a bun or ponytail, you can see the beautiful highlights streaking out.
