..thanks to free-will would you choose to be the destroyer of all life, evil incarnate, a dirty son of gun or a Joe Nobody who has to struggle through life like the rest of us? Discuss.

Just to come back on this point the anti-christ is evil incarnate, incarnate means a god, or evil in this case becoming human, humans have free-will and part of that is the ability to deny our nature. How many of you have ever stopped yourself from hitting somone because you knew it would be wrong? I would bet most of you.

Lucifer, thou art the engineer of God. He created you to bang on the pipes and test the will of his creatures. You must fulfill your destiny.

Free will means being subject to test and alternatives, and your duty is to offer those. Only other engineers, those who are forbidden from birth from having faith, are immune to your tests.

So test on, dark, lonely angel, to the end of time. The good you do will not give you credit.

I'm not an evil person so I don't think I would choose to be evil. Actually I read a book last month that had an interesting take on the Ani-Christ. The book is called Good Omens: The Nice and Accurate Prophecies of Agnes Nutter Witch, by Terry Pratchett and Neil Gaiman. It's about the Ani-Christ being given to the wrong family so instead of growing up evil he's good. I won't say what happens on final judgement day but it's interesting!

I would rather be a Joe Nobody my mind can not grasp being a destroyer of life, evil incarnate, or a dirty son of a gun. It's not in my being to be evil.

Logic would dictate that it would be in my nature to be evil, it would almost be like a force of nature, you really can't blame the tornado for destroying your house, it's the nature of the beast. A tornado is a destructive force, much like evil incarnate would be, it has not choice but to destroy, just by existing a tornado destroys, if this were not the case, then it would not be by definition a tornado.

Well, I am anti-christ, I think a lot of evil has been done in the name of christ! Also, Christ intends to come and kill most of humanity - read Revelations. So how could the anti-christ be more evil than that?

Hmmm ... I think I would be a little of both. I mean it'd be cool to have the whole world know you as the "destoyer" and all, but I wouldn't want to hurt any of my friends and family, so yea, sometimes I would be evil, and sometime I would be "Joe Nobody" as you put it. All depends on who I run into

'an' anti-christ is one who made the choice. Choice is what makes us unique. You can choose to believe what you hear and wait for confirmation. You can choose to ignore confirmation and believe what you think is relevant to your life. But, you MUST choose. Choosing free will, isn't a choice, it is a given. Choosing a hard life, struggle and persecution, is a choice made to further sacrifice your wants and learn holiness

obviously if I were the anti-christ then it wouldn't be much of a discussion. It would be in my nature to destroy human life and make people miserable, infact it would bring me joy. It woul be what I was put on Earth to do so therefore I would choose to destroy all life.

im sorry but, duh. The anti Christ isn't going to be a nobody just because he/she is afraid of being evil. And then the anti Christ wouldn't consider his/her actions evil eithor wouldee. It all comes down to the "Does the bad guy consider himself bad?"
