I've liked this girl for a long time but recently screwed up and have been an idiot to her. How do I get her to not hate me again?

Truthfully, it depends on what you did. But if you haven't already, try apologizing to her. It may sound too simple, but girls have more respect for a guy who can admit he's wrong. Just tell her that you know you were a jerk, but you are sorry and that you would really love another chance to try and work things out. If you are genuinely apologetic, your sincerity will show and she might decide to give you a chance. Just make sure that you continue the good behavior after you get back together! And if the apology doesn't work, you might have to accept that the relationship isn't meant to be (at least for right now). Good luck!

say your sorry and talk about it. It really depends on how badly you screwed it up. usually a heartfelt apology and some talking works. Just try to be back in her friends list first though because she may have to build up trust all over again.

You better start by inviting her to a very nice date, and greet her at her door, with some roses, and maybe candy. And it sounds like you are on thin ice, so tread lightly. Be her friend for a while and things will come around.
