Yes I'm sorry to say this, but I don't know any physicians that will allow you to keep a bra on during an EKG. The bra would interfere with the placement of the leads. You can always request to cover up with a gown after the leads have been placed though. To get accurate readings with an EKG you really have to hold still for the 30 seconds, otherwise electrical signals from your muscles may interfere with the readings. This is why most physicians will not allow you to simply push your bra out of the way during the exam (if you are holding your bra out of the way, your muscles will be contracted). On the upside it's very quick, painless and really can give physicians a great deal of information about how your heart is functioning. I wish you the best of luck!

Generally the placement of the patches would require removal or repositioning of the bra.
Having a bra over any of the patches could affect the readings if the patient moved at all during the procedure.

I am not a MD but I just had one done Monday and I had to take off my bra.

i do 1 every year and the places they put the little stickers yea girls would have to take off there bras. i m not old - 17 not old...
