In thinking about chromosome mutations (rather than gene mutations), deletions, duplications and translocations would tend to be worse then inversions. Granted, some deletions, duplications and translocations would have no deleterious (bad) effects at all, but chances are that these 3 are more apt to cause a problem then an inversion. This is because deletions, duplications and translocations will result in either too many or too few copies of a gene or genes being present, and this can cause problems (see trisomy 21). Again things like how much of the chromosome or which genes/regions the aberration occurs, would be factors on how bad something turned out to be. In an inversion, all the genetic information is still there, it's just flip-flopped.
