absolutely. you have multiple sinus cavities around your face and when they're clogged up from an infection, it could certainly cause pain and inflammation. usually with these types of headaches, your face will be very tender especially around your eyes and forehead. if its really a sinus infection though, i hope you've seen a doctor for some antibiotics. if its just allergies or a cold though, take a decongestant that will loosen up all the junk and you should feel better. you could also put cold compresses on your head to help with the pain and/or continue with the tylenol. hope that helps!

Yes that's exactly what it is!! I get those all the time. I tried using tylenol sinus medication and it goes away. You can also try allergy medicine which helps take away the pain for me.
It may not be a sinus infection but just full or blocked sinuses. It may go away on its own but if not go see your doctor because sinus infections can get very serious if not treated properly!

Yes! So can sinus congestion. The headache will generally be across your forehead, and under your eyes (and across your cheekbones). These are the places your sinus cavities are located.
I do not take over the counter drugs for sinuses because they make me really loopy. Advil or Tylenol can reduce the pain, but so can opening up your sinuses.
A hot steamy shower, a cup of tea (mint works well), or just putting the kettle on and breathing the steam (carefully!) can do the same thing. Vapour rubs like Vicks smell bad but can loosen up congestion.
My favourite relief: hot soup (your favourite kind) with lots of crushed chilies or cayenne pepper added. Not a remedy for non-spice lovers.
Hope you feel better soon!! ~ Andrea

Most definitely, although most sinus infections do not lead to headaches - and obviously most headaches are not caused by sinus infections. The definitive treatment is antibiotics for the sinus infection. For the headache, please try (for an adult) ibuprofen 200 mg 3 tablets 4 times daily plus acetaminophen (Tylenol) 350 mg 3 tablets 4 times daily. An ice mask may also be of benefit.
