Coyotes are considered to be carnivores (meat-eaters), although they will occasionally eat fruit and other plant food.

Coyotes are a member of the canine family which consists of omnivores. They can be described as opportunistic since they will eat whatever edibles they might find meat, fish, fruit or vegetables. Think of them as your pet dog, what would it eat if you fed it to him? (consider only edible items of course, I am not referring to the stupidity often expressed by domesticated animals)
