I have heard that women are more likely to convert. They leave their husbands for a LDS man that can go through the temple with them. (necessary for entry into heaven.)

No. All the women I know who converted to the LDS church stick by their men weather they attend church with them or not. Marriage is taken seriously and the leaders of the LDS church council against divorce for any reason other than abuse. They can go through the temple without their husband in many cases. And they believe that if not in this life it is possible in the next by proxy.

It is possible that this occurs as we are all humans. The church, however, is officially against divorce.
