Yes, we Mac guys can view Flashpaper files. Flashpaper can make a Flash file from any printable file such as Word, JPEG, Exel or even an HTML page. The process is the same as you use to create a PDF file. For those, you just open the file you want to convert, go to "Print" and then choose "Save to file". Then you have a PDF format file that looks like the original.

Flashpaper allows you to do the same thing but the result is known by "filename.sfx" that can be seen on a Mac in a web browser such as Safari or Firefox if the correct or later version Flash Player plugin is installed. Flashpaper was developed by Macromedia which was absorbed by Adobe. They offer the Flashpaper feature as part of the Contribute software package for $149 but you can't buy just the Flashpaper alone for Mac.

The advantage of SFX files is that most browsers have the Flash plugin (free) so the file will appear as part of the web page. Perhaps Adobe will develop a PDF plugin so we can all see PDF files imbedded in a web page.

The disadvantage of SFX imbedding is that the version of Flash plugin must be updated often since Flash technology gets tweaked every few months. If you open a web page that features version 9 Flash software imbedded and your Flash plugin is version 8, you will not see the Flash content. PDF files will generally show correctly with almost any version of Adobe Reader or Preview (comes with Mac OS X) but the file must be downloaded, not imbedded in a web page.

The most irritating feature of today's web sites is the popup window and number two must be "Plugin is needed" message. You can get around the plugin issue by taking a screen shot of whatever document you want to imbed in a web page and save it as a JPEG file and imbed that in the web page. Then it appears fine in all browsers and no plugin is needed.

OMG! Cheese is the most awesome food ever made! I love it all my favorites are goudha, aged swiss, extra sharp cheddar, white cheddar, parmisian and provolone. If you dont want your mom to go get it have somebody else take you to get some or walk to the nearest store, some gas stations sale cheese but mainly just american and sometimes cheddar but it is a bit more pricy than buying it at a store. I spend 20 or more a week on cheese, theres days when all I eat is cheese. The cravings never end, I'm like a cheese vampire!
