because people do not want to hear the truth- they want to sugar coat it- add to it- or water it down so it pleases them....The bible even warns us of those people- in Proverbs it says "do not add to His words, lest he rebuke you and call you a liar"
They make up a god to suit themselves- they are not even speaking of the one TRUE God when they make stuff up- they are making a god to please them...

Same reason people made up God in the first place. Lacking the ability to explain phenomena, or self-regulate, people evolve convoluted mythologies and societal conventions, often with elaborate foundations, which they then adapt and change with the times as the realities of their societies change. Historically, religions have changed drastically over the centuries before disappearing altogether. Christianity is young, relative to other religions, and has already changed greatly over time. It will no doubt change more and more as time passes.

Deep inside most people already know what God says and are vaguely familiar with the teachings of the Bible. The reason they won't read it is because of a sinful nature and satanic influence. Many people believe, if there is a God, He isn,t who the Bible says He is because of the pain and sorrow in the world. In reality, these are a result of sin, man and/or Satan. Even acts of nature such as twisters etc are a result of sin because God cursed the Earth.

Too many people have a flexible god. They shape and mold their god, to do what fits their desires.
God's Word is the same as it always has been. it will NEVER change. people change His word on a daily basis, to fit their needs and lifestyle. This is nothing new, people has done this forever.
When the multitudes of people were seen in heaven that number is only 1/3. That leaves 2/3 of people NOT in heaven. this should wake people up to Truth.
Good Q*.

I presume we're talking about the bible? The only difference is that's what people made up as "god's word" thousands of years ago. Is older really that much better? What makes their ideas on what "god" thinks better than a modern-day person's, exactly? Tell me that.

But your reading something that people made! How does God get his word to humans. Telepathically? Than we dont need the bible since he could do what he did with the writers of the bible!

Great question.
I have my thoughts, but what are the 1-3 things that God says that we should hear? As you know, the Bible says many different things, things that are not agreeable. So what should we hear, versus, what we are we made aware of?
