Are those new beds made from a kind of 'space foam" really more comfortable?

YES! They are awesome. My dad has one and sometimes I'll take a nap in it and I fall asleep almost instantly and I do not move the entire time. Absolutely no back pain, either.

I have a TemperPedic bed made from "space foam"! If I were to purchase a new bed, or if I could go back and purchase a different bed, I would purchase a Select Comfort Sleep Number Bed! I like the fact that the Sleep Number Beds have the option of the "space foam" topper and the air capsules that YOU control depending on how your body feels. Check out the following website! There is very little difference money wise in the two and from a "Space Foam" bed owner, I wish I would have paid the difference for the Sleep Number Bed! Good Luck!

If you and your wife regularly set wine glasses on the bed while making love, the memory foam prevent the wine from spilling. If you want to use your bed for sleep, you might want a conventional mattress. The problem with foam is that it does eventually compress and it seems that it would retain heat like a polyester suit.

The problem I have with the "space foam" is that it holds heat.

Next time I have the chance to buy a new mattress, I will get a sleep number bed. My inlaws have one in their trailer, and my husband & I slept out there when we visited last...It was wonderful!!!!

Get a sleep number bed.

We had one of those foam beds, and after about a year it was terrible. It molded to our bodies. Plus it was like sleeping on wet sand.

We love our sleep number bed though. We've had it for four years and no complaints!

they are nice except if you prefer a firm matress. its alot like a waterbed when you lay on it. except you can set a wineglass on it and jump. whoopdee doo. get a good quality quilted top inner-spring matress and sleep well my friend.
