um.. I spiral curl my hair.. like u know where it looks kinda like a spring.. and u can dress about anyway with your hair like this.. just don't wear jogging pants and a baggy tshirt that hangs to your knees... lol..

It all depends upon your face-shape to get the most flattering look, so checking that out first will be the first thing to do. If you are heart-shaped and/or long face, avoid top-heavy curls as this will make your face look really long.

A round or oval face will suit any hairstyle however you have your hair. A square or triangular face suit curls that are bulky and heavy on top.

I used to perm my hair a lot but because I have a long, heart shaped face, it used to make my face look too full or too long, however I wore a perm. But I think perm's can be very dated looking if not done properly and you could easily look like something out of the seventies or eoghties if not careful.

How to curl your hair:

There are only two ways to curl your hair that I know of and that is having in done at a hairdressers or to buy a home kit that will have instructions inside The second way is with an electric curling tongue.

Styles:

Again, this all depends upon face shape, but I think the most flattering curls are the ones that are big and loose and fall at the sides of the face like a sarah Jessica Parker style. Most face-shapes suit this style and don't look dated but modern. This is a pretty cute look and doesn't look menacing like some bold permed styles.

Try and avoid tight perms and ones that bulk the hair out too much with width as can be a nightmare to wash and style and these kinds of perms do not look nice on many people. Jessica simpson style is both sexy and cute and tends to be the most favourite curly look.
