Ive been looking at buying a few things- never have before - but what starts as a deal ends up being kind of expensive once you have to pay for shipping.

It wasn't always like that. I think sellers are trying to reap more money from what they are selling. Don't buy from sellers with high shipping charges.

You have to take shipping into account before you bid. If the item you want ships for $10, and you are only willing to pay $15, the most you should bid is $5!! People make shipping cost so much to make up for their losses when someone wins a $10 or $20 item for 99 cents.

Always pay attention to the S&H - sometimes on ebay it will ruin what seems to be a good deal. Just watch the S&H carefully.
Other than that, even with S&H, there are still tons of deals to be found. Example: I recently bought 3 chocolate fountains - the exact same ones you can get at Sam's Club for $49.95. Even with shipping, the total each for the ones I got off ebay were only $40.00 - wallah - easily saved $10 on each one!
There are deals to be had, just watch what you are doing.

when you bid on an item you can ask the seller questions and they should know the shipping costs if they sell a lot.chech with a local post office for cost of approximate size and wieght if you shipped it and that will give you an idea on fair value.i have had people try to charge 15.00 shipping for something that fits in a regular envelope.some people will also add extra if they have to travel a ways to post the item as well to cover there time.so buyer beware

Watch out for those shipping charges. Factor them in the price then decide if it's a deal before you bid.

Our international places a distinctive fee on issues than it used to. Years in the past, a human being does no longer have dreamed of paying extra for some thing than that's properly worth on the community shop, yet right this moment, it style of feels to be a "game," and that they do no longer be conscious of they "lost." i think of they have extra money than they have brains and could win purely for the sake of triumphing. it could additionally be an habit, as i be conscious of folk who could desire to bid and win because of the fact of obsessive/compulsive behaviors and it is not considerable what it expenses. they could even circulate in debt to "win." We do have extra playing addicts than ever earlier with each and every of the hot captivating Indian playing casinos in Oklahoma as an occasion. If a human being is an addict, he/she will discover some thank you to fulfill their compulsion, no count who gets harm.
