Heavyweight- Fedor, hands down. Mirko is close 2nd.
Lightheavy- Chuck Lidell (sorry Wandy)
Middleweight- Not Franklin anymore, but he might be able to beat Silva if he fights smarter and doesn't decide to hang around in Silva's clinch like last time. Not Silva either. It's the guy who if UFC can sign will definitely beat Silva. Believe it or not, the best middleweight in the world is Matt Linland.
Welterweight- Matt Hughes (who else could it be?)
Lightweight- If he drops down like it has been rumored, it will be B.J. Penn.
Best fighter of all time regardless of weight class or discipline is not Bruce Lee. It is the one, the only RICKSON GRACIE!

people and saying UFC is bad fighters! Pride fighters wouldnt even survive in the octagon they have no rules that is why they are so good but then they go into the octogon and they would lose to Hughes and Liddel eaisly and the best fighter in the world Roice Grayce he may have lost to Hughes but come on he is old when he fought hughes

that's a difficult question to answer, because there are soo many skilled martial artists in the world that don't neccessarily compete...
as for total reality based, i'd have to go with jim grover or jim wagner, or paul vunak..they're the best at total reality self defense and survival..
as for mma fighters, i'd go with bas rutten, frank shamrock, or fedor emelianenko.. they're the most well rounded fighters in the business, and a well rounded fighter is the best kind of fighter...
but that's just my opinion..

Fedor-he's an awesome athlete. He's proven himself at sambo and judo, and now he's the ultimate MMA machine. I believe his brother has taken up residence in Japan and is pursuing a MMA career. He may be the only guy that stands a chance against Fedor.
