Find out from your grandmother if the turkey was actually smoked.
Most "smoked" meat products use a flavoring to make it taste smoked, and don't use a smoking process.
Also, most people who are allergic to smoke have a sensitivity to breathing it in. But you might want to ask your doctor/allergist and keep some allergy meds on hand just in case!

Do you have an actual allergy to smoked turkey or are you just guessing that you do because you are allergic to actual smoke used to smoke the turkey? If you really do, tell Grandma and I am sure she will understand.

Usually people who are allergic to smoke only have an allergic reaction to the actual smoke. I do not believe that your body will have an allergic reaction to something that has been smoked and you ingest rather than inhale.

Being allergic to smoke has nothing to do with smoked turkey.

My dad is allergic to wood smoke, but he can eat the smoked meats because all you really get is the flavor, not any smoke...

are you allergic to smoke? smoke allergies are not allergies -- they are a sign of hyper sensitivity. you probably can't be around cheap perfumes and smelly candles and stuff either. smoked foods shouldn't bother you. im allergic to smoke flavoring.

You should be okay as long as you wait until it stops smoking.
